LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) is an innovative facilitation methodology that uses specially designed LEGO® bricks as a medium for creative Thinking, communication, and problem-solving. How an LSP session works
A structured journey from question to insight, guided by a certified facilitator through five distinct phases.
1. Challenge posed
The facilitator presents a carefully crafted question or scenario aligned with your organizational goals. Questions are designed to be open-ended and thought-provoking, inviting diverse interpretations.
2. Build time
Participants have dedicated time to build 3d models that represent their Thinking. There are no wrong answers—each person constructs a unique metaphorical response using the LEGO® bricks provided.
3. Sharing stories
Each participant shares the story of their model with the group, explaining what each element represents and why. The model acts as a conversation piece, making abstract ideas tangible and discussable.
4. Reflection & insight
The group engages in facilitated discussion, identifying patterns, connections, and themes across models. This is where collective insights emerge and shared understanding is built.
5. Action planning
Concrete next steps, decisions, or strategies emerge from the shared understanding. Models may be photographed, connections documented, and action items clearly defined for implementation.
